Tidy Up and potatoes

Te sprouts have been OK but I don't think I'll bother this year. I've got loads of stuff out for the birds but don't feel there have been as many as usual his year.

I have the garden a bit of a tidy today. I've emptied the compost from various old potted plants onto the garden and trimmed the rosemary, mint, carnations, hydrangeas and grasses by the pond.

I have bought some seed potatoes:

Premiere (1st early)
Red Duke of York (1st early)
Calingford (2nd early)
Pink Fir Apple (main crop)
Belle De Fontenay (main crop)

I reckon I'l grow all spuds in containers this year as I haven't room for them in the beds - the plot behind the greenhouse was pretty useless last year: too dry and dark.
