Its such a great time of year when there is enough light to do a significant amount of gardening in the evening.
Today I cut back some overhanging branches in the Southwest corner, prepared the potato patch and planted out some carrots and lettuces.
Stupidly I didn't protect an earlier planting of lettuces and they have been used as a cat's toilet (at least that's my assumption - maybe I should set up a webcam to see exactly what goes on at night).
This time I have covered the newly planted seedlings with small twigs and branches which should help.
